The misplaced postcard
Someone has put a postcard in the wrong tray. Recover its three-stop route, decode the tray name and identify the card. Try it here, or take the printable version to your table.
01 / Rebuild the route
The clerk's instructions
- Every station is visited exactly once.
- PINE is immediately before DOCK.
- ARCH is the final stop.
Use all three rules. There is one route.
A small route hint
With ARCH last, the first two positions must hold PINE and DOCK in that order.
02 / Read the ledger
One letter per stop
Read column 1 from the first station's row, column 2 from the second, then column 3 from the third. Keep the letters in route order.
| Station | 1 | 2 | 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| ARCH | A | E | L |
| PINE | O | D | N |
| DOCK | R | W | K |
The route tells you which row to read each time.
03 / Make the delivery
The postcard shows a bridge.
Select the record matching both the recovered tray word and the picture. One matching field is not enough.
| Card | Tray | Picture |
|---|---|---|
| 11 | OWW | BRIDGE |
| 23 | OWL | BRIDGE |
| 38 | OWL | BOAT |
| 49 | LOW | BRIDGE |
Check your route and tray first, then make the delivery.
The right words reach home.
“To the bridge keeper: thank you for waiting until everyone was safely across.”
Card 23 is on its way. The full case opens three desks at once, with a different destination and a bigger deduction to make together.

Give each desk a piece of the mystery.
A parcel has lost its label before the last train leaves. The Route Desk recovers the destination. The Dispatch Desk finds a valid departure. The Signal Desk decodes the seal. The final manifest needs all three.
- Eight player pages: briefing, six desk clues and the final manifest.
- Six-page host guide: setup, complete explanations, three hints per step, ending and invitation.
- A4 and US Letter: color and low-ink player editions. Color is never the clue.
- Offline host desk: optional answer checks, progressive hints and a print planner.
- Repeat hosting: household/private gatherings or your own classroom under the included license.
€19 one-time base price
Any applicable tax appears at checkout. Digital files only; printing supplies are not included.

An actual printable page, not a mockup of nonexistent materials.
Who is this suitable for?
Players comfortable with English reading, ordering, simple arithmetic and logic, with a host who can offer help. It can be solved together or in desk groups. There is no fixed timer or competitive elimination. Try the mini case to assess the reading and reasoning style.
Has it been playtested?
Puzzle uniqueness has been checked computationally, and the PDFs have been rendered and reviewed digitally. Independent live-player testing and physical-printer testing are still pending. We do not claim a measured completion time or guaranteed age fit.
Does it need a screen, cutting or locks?
The full game works entirely on paper with pencils and scrap paper. There is no required cutting, hiding, lock purchase or room search. The offline browser host desk is optional.
What does the license allow?
One buyer may host repeatedly for their household/private non-ticketed gatherings or their own classroom. Give printed player pages to participants. Do not redistribute digital files, resell the game or sell paid admission under this license.
How was it made?
Original fiction, puzzle design and vector artwork produced with AI assistance, then checked and revised. No clinical, educational-outcome or professional-qualification claims are made.

Useful before you buy
Work out the paper, space and setup.
Plan one complete game set for each team. Six players per team is a planning suggestion, not a tested capacity limit; smaller groups can work all desks together.
Set up three clearly labeled desks.
- Put pages 2–3 at Route, 4–5 at Dispatch, 6–7 at Signal.
- Read page 1 together. Keep page 8 for the final meeting.
- Give each team pencils and scrap paper. Keep all solutions separate.
- Explain how to ask for hints. Let players share their reasoning at the final meeting.
No printer? Try the browser mini case first. The paid game is designed around printable evidence, so do not buy it expecting a full online game.
